milestones.

Last night was one for the Nora book. I was putting her to sleep (which consists of me sitting in front of her crib as she tosses and turns to find the perfect position and release any energy she might have left) she pushed herself up to the sitting position. Right in front of my eyes. My baby can now sit up on her own.

I picked her up (I could tell at this point she was not going down) and we went and told Papa about her accomplishment. Played a little to try to release more energy then tried putting her to bed again. This time I put her in her crib and sat on the couch so she could see me. I heard her shuffling around but didn't think anything of it. She made a her "uh" noise, I made it back, she made it again and I looked up at her from my phone and she was standing up holding to the side of her crib. My baby can now pull herself up.

I think I was went into shock for about 30 seconds. I just starred at her as she starred at me. My baby is growing up so fast.

1 year

Tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary. One year already?!?! Man time flew by. It has been an adventure filled, crazy, fun year. I don't think we could have packed more into one year than we did!

I must say my husband is the best thing that has happened to me (other than Nora of course). He is my best friend, my better half and the one I can always count on. He is nothing less than amazing every single day.

Looking at these pictures reminds me of our amazing wedding. It is the one day I wish I could relive. It was great having all of our close family and friends there to witness and celebrate our love.  It was perfect! I loved the restaurant where we got married, the garden where the ceremony took place, the tree we got married under, and that I was pregnant with Nora because it means she was there! :)

simple things sunday - many faces

O the faces of little Nora. She just cracks me up! From the happy smiles to the cooky looks... this baby does them all! The other morning I decided to try to capture some of them and was pretty successful. This little girl just melts my heart and makes me smile everyday.

park fun.

A few weeks ago we went on a walk to the park next to our house and sat under my favorite Eucalyptus trees. The smell of them is my favorite in the world! It was a fun to spend a weekday at  the park with my family. I am pretty lucky to work from home with a very flexible schedule and Matt, being self employed, can have random days off.

little yosemite.

Today we went hiking at Little Yosemite in Sunol (about a 10 minutes drive from our house) with our good friends, Corrine and Stephen. It is the same hike we went on here when I was 8 months pregnant. It was Nora's first hike and she seemed to enjoy!

Beachin' It

Last weekend we took a beach trip to Santa Cruz. We got super lucky with perfect weather. It was Nora's third time to the beach and first time dipping her feet in the water. She absolutely loved it! She laughed and giggleg the whole time. She couldn't stay still the whole time we were sitting in the shade tent. We are so happy we bought the shade tent. I couldn't imagine a beach trip without it in the future!

Catching Up.

I have been away for a while now busy with little Nora but I am back. She seems to be getting bigger and bigger everyday. She is now sitting up all by herself, and very well. We think it will be no time before she is crawling!
Matt is busy  remodeling the kitchen in my parents house and it is a zoo. I never realized that without a kitchen your whole house ends up being upside down.
Nora and I went to Angels Camp with my parents for the first part of the renovation. Nora went to Big Trees park where they have gigantic Sequoia trees. Of course, like I expected she didn't care much but she sure did sleep good that night. She also went swimming for the first time and loved it! I wish I took more pictures of the whole trip!

Now some pictures to catch up.

Here is little Nora at 5 months. I had a spontaneous photo shoot with her that turned out pretty cute!

This is the first picture I got of her sitting all by herself! So cute!

We went to the park and picked some flowers. She seemed very intrigued by them.
