Easter 2013

So I kind of fell of the wagon when it comes to posting. There has been so much going on that I didn't even realize how much time has passed since the last time I've posted. I thought I's start back up with a few photos from Easter. It was such a fun day at my parents house (yes, it's no longer our house too, we moved out!).

Around this House

Is a very adventurous little toddler who gets more fun by the day! There are times I wish I could run and grab my camera but put safety first and run to grab her!

From laying on random things (I guess she has to figure out what's comfy?), to insisting on turning everthing upside down to sit on, hiding in laundry baskets. This Mama sure is enjoying every second of it!

Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

This past Saturday we went to Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Santa Cruz. Leave it to me to bring my camera and forget my memory card at home! I can't count the number of times I've done this. Seriously time to invest in a backup!

The park was beautiful! It is in a middle of a forest of Redwood trees. We plan on trying to go to as many state parks as we can this summer as I'm learning that there is a lot in Northern CA.

Here are some pics I snapped with my phone. I thought iPhone 5s are supposed to take good pics?! They are not the greatest but at least I got something!

A Cuddle

Today was a first I won't forget ever. MY BABY GIRL CUDDLED!!

The thing is Nora is not a cuddler, nope, not one bit. Since she has been a baby she has never liked to cuddle. She is always go go go and do do do. Who needs to cuddle when you could be playing or exploring?

So this Mama is very deprived because I am such a cuddler it drives Matt crazy sometimes. I try and try but Nora has never given in. Not even when sick. She just keeps playing!

So this is a small miracle to me. She was taking a nap and got woken up by the side gate slamming ( thanks to Papa Bear). She screamed for me and when I came in I saw she was still super sleepy so I put her on our bed and laid with her. That's when she came over to me and put her head on mine and I hugged her and WE CUDDLED FOR 5 MINUTES!!

I think this was the best thing that happened in January by far! Such a sweet moment!

Rainy Days

The past week has been cold and rainy which is not fun when you have a little one that LOVES being outside. We spend so much time outdoors that I almost didn't know what to do with her inside! When it wasn't raining we bundled up and spent as much time in the fresh air as we could.

Nora loves her buggy! It has pretty much replaced her stroller. We take it to the park and around the neighborhood all the time. She picks up the pokey balls from the tree and stores them in the trunk of the buggy. It is adorable!

Beach Day

The other Saturday we headed to my favorite place in the world, the beach! Nora didn't fall asleep for her first nap until half way there so we decided to take a detour so she can sleep a little longer. We went through the Santa Cruz hills which are beautiful. Lots of lush green vegetation and million dollar mansions (always fun to look at). 

We ate at the best Mexicanish place ever called Planet Fresh. It's a burrito place but they are super healthy and yummy. Then we had the best ice cream in the world for dessert at Penny Ice Cream. I'm boring and always go with the Tahitian Vanilla. But it's the most amazing vanilla ever. Nora sure didn't complain!

Then we headed to play at the beach...

I've come to the realization that I need to invest in a tripod. I am barely ever in pictures!

A Very Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year! Watching Nora open her presents was so much fun (yes, she actually tore the wrapping paper off her presents). It brought a whole new experience and joy to Christmas. I cannot wait for more Christmases and holidays with her. It never ceases to amaze me how much little people change your world and make everything so much more fun and exciting.

In the meantime, my computer has crashed and I am using my crappy work computer. I hope to add more to my blog in the new year. I feel bad how I've lagged this year. There is always next year!
