Crawling.

This week Nora started crawling! It started with a one or two moves forward and know it's 4 or 5 moves forward. The funny thing is she doesn't even realize she's doing it. We try to get her to do it by having her crawl to me (while I hold a toy) and she just sits there trying. But when she doesn't think about it and is playing, she will crawl right over to her toy. It's so cute! 

a little guitar lesson

I love hearing Matt playing the guitar for Nora. She always listens so carefully at first and then wants to get in on the action and try herself. The other morning I walked in on the duo playing in our bed. Anything these two do always melts my heart!

Last Monday we went to Half Moon Bay to celebrate our one year anniversary. We had lunch at Pasta Moon, the restaurant where we got married, and had a mini wedding cake for dessert. The food was amazing and the cake was so good! We took a picture in front of the tree where we got married (above) and then went to the beach to enjoy a walk. Matt surprised me with the pearl necklace I'm wearing the night before and got me a Hydrangea bush. We are planting it tomorrow. It was a great anniversary and I can't wait for the many more to come!   

milestones.

Last night was one for the Nora book. I was putting her to sleep (which consists of me sitting in front of her crib as she tosses and turns to find the perfect position and release any energy she might have left) she pushed herself up to the sitting position. Right in front of my eyes. My baby can now sit up on her own.

I picked her up (I could tell at this point she was not going down) and we went and told Papa about her accomplishment. Played a little to try to release more energy then tried putting her to bed again. This time I put her in her crib and sat on the couch so she could see me. I heard her shuffling around but didn't think anything of it. She made a her "uh" noise, I made it back, she made it again and I looked up at her from my phone and she was standing up holding to the side of her crib. My baby can now pull herself up.

I think I was went into shock for about 30 seconds. I just starred at her as she starred at me. My baby is growing up so fast. 

1 year

Tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary. One year already?!?! Man time flew by. It has been an adventure filled, crazy, fun year. I don't think we could have packed more into one year than we did!

I must say my husband is the best thing that has happened to me (other than Nora of course). He is my best friend, my better half and the one I can always count on. He is nothing less than amazing every single day.

Looking at these pictures reminds me of our amazing wedding. It is the one day I wish I could relive. It was great having all of our close family and friends there to witness and celebrate our love.  It was perfect! I loved the restaurant where we got married, the garden where the ceremony took place, the tree we got married under, and that I was pregnant with Nora because it means she was there! :)

simple things sunday - many faces

O the faces of little Nora. She just cracks me up! From the happy smiles to the cooky looks... this baby does them all! The other morning I decided to try to capture some of them and was pretty successful. This little girl just melts my heart and makes me smile everyday.
